About Us

Who We Are

Brandon’s Spirit Factory is a recreational tumbling and cheerleading gym serving youth in McCreary, Wayne, and Whitley Counties in Kentucky, as well as Scott County, Tennessee. Originally founded in 2016 as McCreary County Tumble & Cheer—an idea brought to life by Dr. Angela Loudermilk in Pine Knot Primary’s cafeteria—the program was rebranded in 2020 and is now proudly owned by Brandon Singleton. Our mission is to give every child the God-given opportunity to experience what it feels like to fly through the air. Built step by step from the ground up, we’ve stayed true to our roots, offering high-quality instruction while remaining one of the only gyms in the area to consistently charge just \$40 per month for tumbling classes. We believe in progression-based teaching that prioritizes safety, ensuring no athlete is pushed beyond their physical readiness simply because there’s a padded surface or a spotter with their arms out. Brandon’s Spirit Factory is a family-oriented, judgment-free space where every child is welcomed, valued, and empowered. When you walk through our doors, you’re home—and the best is yet to come.

Owner - Head Instructor

(I'm in the blue, and next to me is my longest running student. The student who started my program with me, Miss Emily Tucker). Hello, I am Mr. Brandon! For as long as I can remember, tumbling and doing the splits have come naturally to me. When I was little, I wanted to be a Power Ranger and/or a vampire slayer. So I was always "training". I spent years involved in power tumbling and recreational tumbling, but everything changed during my junior year of high school when I was convinced to join the cheerleading team. That decision became the most pivotal moment of my life. It not only shaped who I am but also influenced every major choice I’ve made since.

As of 2025, I’ve been teaching tumbling in various capacities for 20 years, and I still learn something new every day. My own journey as a tumbler wasn’t without challenges. There were times when my body wouldn’t cooperate with my goals, and mental blocks held me back. Those struggles inspired me as a coach to help young athletes overcome their own barriers and reach levels I never could. Nothing compares to the look on a child’s face when they accomplish something they once thought was impossible.

I am the proud owner of Brandon’s Spirit Factory, a gym built on passion and perseverance. I also serve as a Special Education Teacher at McCreary County Middle School, where I’m honored to be the Head Cheerleading Coach. Competitive cheerleading holds a special place in my heart—this marks my 18th season coaching in one form or another. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding many talented teams and watching them achieve incredible distinctions.

But perhaps the most incredible honor of my career so far has been coaching alongside my mother. Together, we led the first-ever team from McCreary County Middle School to compete at the National High School Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, FL, during the 2025 season. That experience was unforgettable.

Outside of cheerleading and the classroom, I’m a proud dog owner and an uncle to two wonderfully mischievous boys who are my whole world. I also have a deep passion for music, especially Lady Gaga. I fully embrace my slightly unhealthy, totally unapologetic obsession with her.

Our Staff is dedicated and experienced. We look forward to serving your family.

Karen Singleton

Office Staff/Gym Supervisor

Hello, my name is Karen. (or as the kiddos call me Miss Karen)

I’ve been passionate about cheerleading for over 55 years. With a deep understanding of the sport, I recognize strong technique—whether it’s sharp motions, clean lines, or perfectly pointed toes. In my earlier years, my favorite tumbling pass was the aerial, which I performed with pride.

I’m a proud supporter of my son, Brandon, and his work at Brandon’s Spirit Factory. You will find me at the gym as I’m present at most practices, events, and competitions—usually sitting LOUDLY in the back or right on the mat’s edge—cheering for every athlete as one of their biggest fans. Supporting this program and watching the kids grow in skill and confidence brings me so much joy.

While it is not the style of cheerleading and tumbling my son teaches, my heart will always be with the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. Just ask me about my boots!
